Raising Kids to Love Being Jewish

This is so great to listen to. However easier said than done. I live in a small Christian town in central Texas. There is nothing here for Jews. The closest thing is over an hour away. We have no connection to our Jewish roots at all. So my children have now assimilated to Christian culture. There are no Jewish schools, centers, restaurants, shops, anything. How do we get our kids to come back to and care about being Jewish when we have no support?
Living far from the support of a Jewish community is challenging. We are fortunate to have many virtual resources today, including our children's section at chabad.org/kids, Torah study with a partner over the phone at chabad.org/jNet, and even online Hebrew School for children! nigrijewishonlineschool.com/jewish
You are your family's best role models. Find out more about Judaism and share what you have learned. Put up a Mezuzuah on your door, buy Jewish children's books, invite your family for Shabbat dinner on Friday night, and show them the warmth and beauty of their Jewish heritage.
Great tips and speech Doron!
Love it.

Please email me. I would like to tell you about my project to get children to be proud being Jewish.
Fantastic - but... I loved this. But what do you do if your family members are actively preventing their children and grandchildren from receiving a Jewish education? This is the greatest source of grief in my life. What do you do when they won't allow a child to have any Jewish education at all, and block any attempt to provide a Jewish experience for the child?
