Wouldn't Your Cat Be Better Off in the Wild?
Cats sometimes show a wild feral side that makes you wonder: Are cats really happy about being domestic animals? Which, by the way, is a question we might raise about ourselves; a question raised by Chassidut.
Sorry, don't appreciate another,"Hey, animals are just like us!"Just because animals adapt to being domesticated(HaShem made living creatures adaptable to ensure our survival) doesn't mean its supposed to be the norm.Fact is, humans have adapted themselves to responding relationally to animals. Why? Because its way easier to control an animal than a human.Humans have opted for relationships with animals over humans, just because we can. It's causing devastating results, such as high increases in attacks on humans (often infants and children) by animals because the animals are constantly in an unnatural environment, having to give emotional support and absorb human stress they were never intended to do. Animals often manifest their stress by becoming violent. Human relationships are taking a back seat to animals, resulting in humans being neglected. Children are increasingly neglected-why deal with your child when pet is so under your control? Pet love is pagan,we left Egypt, remember?
