Very Cute It was really cute, especially the part where the sister's complaining to her mom, that was kinda' funny. I'd say that the candles say to me that they are bright, and hard-working, but they also relax me with their flickering flame that still continues. Reply

Amazing Deep Message! Alex's comment is right - there truly is a deep and powerful message here.. we are all so jewishly regular, but we have the responsibility to "put our bickering aside and shine to the outside world!" Although judging from the clip creator's comment, it
doesnt seem that he had that in mind.

I would suggest that they change that last tagline to something which (maybe subtly and with tact) brings out this message. Reply

What's wrong for someone on the Chabad.org team not to make something "loaded"? It is a cute way to promote the competition and website. The candles are speaking, but the question is what do you hear them saying? What does Chanukah mean to YOU? I took no offense in the humor and think hard work should not be put down so easily. Reply

chanukah-lights for the good G-D-loving people who don't get the point of chanukah-lights:

I have children who just loved it. Reply

Got me thinking After watching it a second time, I got the message. We are meant to be a light onto the nations. If we are aware that we have an audience, wouldn't we shine? I explained this concept to my kids as they kept watching it over and over again. Well done! We all loved the animation. Reply

a bit disappointing I agree with another writer...I usually look forward to very profound & moving messages from Chabad videos, which causes me to forward them to friends & family immediately. Sorry to say that this little skit left me wanting for more and with no desire to pass it along.
however it is quite cute and still has a message. Reply

Message A message that I take from this video is that the Chanukah Lights have a message. It's a reminder for people who may not know their message, to explore their inner meaning. Also, for different people, the chanukah candles have different meanings. I noticed someone said they will be using this video in Hebrew School. I think it's a perfect opener for a discussion about the different meanings that people take from the Chanukah lights. Reply
