The Sound of Silence
Silence can be the most devastating sound possible; yet at times also the most rewarding. How is your silence?
Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful
Baruch HaShem! Thank you very much for this short, but deeply inspiring lesson. It sure is an everyday challenge to choose and you gave a beautiful look on the importance of silence.
Thank you. Yes we need to be reminded. Sometimes we just forget the importance of using silence.
Greetings Chaya!
Thank you for your wonderful words of wisdom! Today, it seems everyone is talking and no one is listening. Oftentimes, the appreciation of silence comes with maturity. Blessings to you, your family, and dearest grandmother.
I didn’t know the part about the Rabbis being silent in the story of embarrassment. It is so hard to have the “stinky cheese touch,” when you are at the bottom of the totem pole and no one will speak to you or speak up for you for fear of their own social ostracism. Having been on both sides of that fence, my greatest regret was when I was silent and therefore complicit in another person’s suffering. I love your statement about choosing silence well.
