Healing Begins At Home

Healing Begins at Home
from the book ”Wisdom to Heal the Earth”
If you don’t know why you’re here, sometimes all you can see is dirt. But once you know your mission, all you see is diamonds.
The foundation of a strong home is built of gentle words.
A man can build a house, but a woman makes it a home.
A home is built with wisdom. Not with a hammer.
Each one of us is an only child to the Creator of the universe.
Your child is a child of the Creator of the universe, who has placed this life in your hands.
The same stern word that for one child is a medicine, for another is a poison.
Harmony at home is a matter of emphasis: Let dissonance slip by. Celebrate beauty.
In the union of man and woman shines the essence of all that is holy and divine.
All that G‑d created, He said was good. Except for one: “It is not good that man is alone.”
True peace is the beauty that emerges from a panorama of colors.
Woman and man are two opposites. And so courtship never ends.
A relationship is not created by what you give, but how you give it.
Marriage is not a power struggle, but a union of two beings. Giving in is not a sacrifice, but a triumph of love.
Every couple must have a set time to study Torah together.
From union with a woman, a man learns to nurture. From union with a man, a woman conquers through her nurture.
True oneness is when two are torn apart, and then choose to be one.
The Jews are the heart of humankind. We must love each other.
Unity is the channel to receive miracles.
Living in peace has only one secret: Ignoring faults.
Without forgiveness, there is no friendship, no love.
Rules create peace. Forgiveness allows peace to endure.
G-d is not found in neat packages, nor in great ideas. G-d is found in opposites dwelling together in peace.
If you yourself are standing still, how can you expect to push someone else ahead?
The world was left incomplete so that you could have a hand in building it.
Healthy human energy flows and mixes. It has room for a thousand others.
Of course there is resistance. You are polishing the world so it will shine.
On our own we are but fragments; together we make a perfect whole.
The humble soul finds G‑d in the simplest places.
We all have ulterior motives. But kindness is still kindness and love is stilll love.
The first thing needed to fix this world is that Jews should love each other.
