And this is what is needed to make a healthy community: That each of us recognize that we are lacking, and that we need the other to make us whole.

Thank you for posting such a poignant piece. I heard once that if I were like you and you were like me, one of us would not be necessary! While that may be an over board explanation that salutes our inherent uniqueness it still has merit. We are not all alike, but we all have a purpose, plan, and function that may not be recognized by others. We have our place in the puzzle, the puzzle of community requires the contribution of our unique piece to be complete itself.
