The first thing needed to fix this world is that Jews should love each other and be united.
And this can begin even without a planning committee and without funding.
It can begin with you.

answer to Rabbi Tzvi Freeman
I am first of all a human being and consider myself part of the world's community. That I am an American citizen means that I am nationally an American. I consider myself a Jew by my definition of Judaism not by nationality or community. As a utopian goal to achieve, I advocate peace for the world, and I believe there are better beginnings than trying to achieve unity and love among Jews alone. Practically,I seriously doubt that you could even begin to achieve unity and/ or love now or in the near future among the estimated 15 million Jews in this world.

Gabriel and John
Hello,
I agree with you both. Gabriel I have chosen to explain myself a few times and found in the end it was a foolish thing to have done as it seemed to not have been valued by those to whom I explained myself to. Live and learn I suppose. John , in regards to David and his being alone so many others were too ( Joseph for example). It is this aloneness with G-d that allows us to build our relationship with him, regardless of what the state of affairs are around us. Because of David and Joseph we have the gift of their experiences and outcomes. Had David not been alone we may not have the tehilim! The tehilim have been a tremendous source of comfort and inspiration during the worst times and the best times. I am all for community and still searching for one in fact. For all you that have a community, value it as it is indeed a treasure some of us do not have.

Re: Better advice
That all people should love each other and work together is obvious. But where are you going to start? What is your strategy?
You are a Jew. That's your immediate community. Start there.

Be good for nothing I fast for atonement without paying the fee to attend the service. I wonder if this counts for being good for nothing? Reply
Better advice Would it not be better advice to advocate that all people-not only Jews- love one another in order to fix this world? Reply
Hashem with all of his power he loves us lowly beings yet we cannot afford the same to our brothers and sisters. We must pray with a single message of unity so that we are worthy to be blessed to dwell along with him.
and yesterday i learned a hard lesson of love of my own. My coworker went to HR to complain about another coworker and I was upset at coworker #1 for going to HR and in response I treated coworker #1 coldly. And I learned that it is not my place to punish someone for not doing the right thing. That I should let God do his job. we all do questionable things at times, even the most pious of us. so we must afford our brothers and sisters the same. more love, less judgement. I love Hashem and all of his actions!

Unity is power, we must unite!!!
It begins with you sometime thing seem hard but you have to forge forward regardless. We have to do what Moses did when he part the red sea. So lets put all our differences aside and unite. So let get back to the will of Gd.

A image we share For it is man that builds the obstacle, by creating them for a difference. For we look up to the One and give thanks, but we see in ourselves in different clothes. Yet still, the dust we wear in righteousness we are blind for they who stand near. Reply
Nucleus of Unity
Such a nucleus has been established in Israel. May the whole of Israel embrace this unity speedily for it to be an example to the world so that eventually the entire world unifies as one. It all depends on Israel to be an example of the Light to the world!
The correction of the evil - the hatred and repulsion disconnecting all will be corrected by the Light through this nucleus initiated by Israel. Then only will there be peace and a place for Israel. All the conflict and anti-semitism will calm down to peace.
Then the prophecy will prevail "The Nations of the world will carry Israel on their shoulders" - the people of the world will help us go back to the Temple, where all will be included in attaining spirituality - the revelation of G_dliness between us - the Third temple.

This is excellent and I will strive to do this every moment of every day. Thank you so much for posting this! Reply
its funny...
its funny how i was just "thinking" about this...."computers" these days....lol
anyway, yes.....what i was thinking to myself was...where were ALL the jews when King David was writing all his memoirs (daily study)? seems to me he was all ALONE. so where were all the Jews then in his time of NEED?
just curious.....
if one can conclude the whole of Torah is "being nice".......in Davids case, it didnt seem others were doing so in his writings.......Why is that? For a people who are consistently preaching "community"...."shared responsibility" ....where was it then....and now? In time of NEED?
And here you are today, almost asking the same question....

Jewish Unity. The one thing which stops the Jewish people to claim Jerusalem, is not the Palestinian people, but lack of unity among the Jewish people. Yes this is the most important thing. Reply
Love and unity to fix the world Love and unity to fix the world. Love and unity seem common words but they really are tough concepts especially when are to be implemented in real life. Still we have an option that is to pray to Hashem because when we stand before Hashem praying we stand before Him like father and son and like sons we have to remember that we all are in His Loving Hands. "Jewish unity will occur when all Jews view one another as simply Jews" - WOW!.
This is a DAILY DOSE wisdom that i have been waiting for... I am often questioned by other fellow Jews because i have a spanish last name... If i am converso, if i am Sephardim, if I am in the process of conversion, if my mom is Jew..... Can you imagine if all of the Jews of the world would unite as ONE rather than spending time questioning everyone's family roots..

Jews Uniting Yes Jews should love each other, but also Gentiles should love each other. Even better, Jews and Gentiles should love each other. And in that way, we would all love God which is even better Reply
AMEN! for there is possibly a Jew following Torah or Gentile following the Noahide Code in every situation! May the Almighty bless us with His will and way to bring peace (or piece of Heaven) 'home' to everyone so that we can all feel that life is worth living and that all can feel and see and be blessed by all the unconditional enduring love they seek. The temple isn't rebuilt today because of baseless hatred. If the people of the first temple era could see us today, I suspect they would be horrified.
Let's concentrate on love of one's fellow.

Love and Unity
All Jews can love each other when we realize unity already exists. We have an intention to treat each other with love as though there is no difference between you and I. But there are differences, so we have to learn the love of knowing differences. We get stuck in thinking that differences means a lack of unity. G-d, is manifest in infinite ways , just as even our thoughts and feelings are within ,let alone between us. The unity comes from understanding that the differences are part of Hashem's infinite creativity. If we can find joy in this diversity we can find joy in ourselves and in each other. When we find this joy, we find the unity behind the diversity of creation. Each day of creation Hashem told us it was good, adding more diversity each day. Creation is maintained by Hashem and the goodness of differences such as light and dark. We unite understanding that difference and
unity are the two sides of one love Hashem
gives us to share with each other.

I agree with if you have a community value it because some people don't have and want.
