Only pure water can purify. The further you wish to take that water, the deeper your wellspring must be.
Those who wish to reach to the very outside and enlighten and purify that place, they must reach deep into the womb of truth.

Wellspring of the Soul
Deep within your heart is the desire to reclaim your soul.
This constant yearning draws the Light to purify and correct all the other desires - to direct them to become equivalent with their Maker.

Can the Finite World Touch the Infinite?
(a new reading of the song of songs for Elul 2013)
{and with great thanks to mendel du bov for his excellent summertime video series on the Song of Songs):
...
(when) "a dove finds its (sometime) partner";
i remember him quoting solomon then,
"Where are you going to make them crouch in the afternoon?"
& then, this wisdom teaching:
"When you allow yourselves to graze in the higher fields you will be above the dwelling places of all the other shepherds..."

Waters of love
In Shir ha Shirim 8:7 it states many waters can not quench love, neither can the floods drown it, if a man should give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
Are not the waters of purification the waters of love? Torah is the womb of all truth we begin our journey learning Torah and end our lives saturated in Torah the love of GOD to us.

The way to reach deeper is honesty in our behavior . The next ingredient is willing to study the richness of what Judaism offers. I would argue that you must be well versed in the basics befor entering the richness of Kabbalah, If only studying that I would argue something very importnat is missing in the soul.
