The Torah and a Jew are one.
So much so, that even a Jew who claims he has no connection with the Torah—when pushed up against a wall, even that Jew will hold the Torah as the most precious thing in life.

When we (the Creature or Israel) are in equivalence of character with G_d (Creator) and His Upper Light (Torah) fills us abundanty, then we will realize that:
The Creature, the Creator and the Torah are all in the same nature of quality.

Study,reading,meditation of scripture will bring you peace and knowledge that will guide your life and decision making. If we all spent 10 percent of our day in study of the scriptures we will have a closer relationship with G-d. We need to ask ourselfs the question what is most important for us now and in the future ? What does it profit a man if he gain everything and loses his soul? Reply

This is a great though but sadly to say it's is not true today. The Pew survey has shown us that. It is up to our leadership to make the Torah relevant in each of our lives, even the one who is on the 50th step, so that all of us think Torah first!
Where is the Rebbe when you need him? We need a living Rebbe to inspire us and to walk the path with us. Taking the latest JLI course,

A Question So to not know, read, study the Torah is spiritual death for a Jew? What if he is just a simple good man living his life doing mitzvos, assuming he is pleasing God? Reply

Covenant A Covenant is formed between one person and God . I do not think that the person even has a choice in the Covenant. But a Man's ways can be pleasing to the Lord , that God opens up all the blessings to him. This is why it is important that a decision taken at some point in life can end up blessing not only one person but the family as a whole. Torah is a way of life and it can apply to individual Jews or Non Jews and to nations. God may separate some to Himself. Reply
G d and mankind are bound together forever and ever along with G d’s Torah for guidance. All Jewish people
behold the responsibility to love and cherish the gift of the Torah their G d so blessedly bestowed upon them throughout their lives upon this earth. No Jew should ever feel there’s no need for the Torah in their lives; that’s similar to saying there’s no need for G d in their lives.
