At Sinai, He said, “Let us bond together. Let us embrace in these mitzvahs, commune in this Torah, and in them we will be one.”
But He is an infinite, unknowable G‑d. If we cannot know Him, how can we bond with Him?
And so, when He came to us in His Torah at Mount Sinai, He began with an alef. And when we begin to learn, we begin with an alef.
In that first, infinitesimal point of not knowing, in that is contained all wisdom.

I Am The First And I Am The Last
He is the first:
G_d awakens the first impulse in us to feel as one man in one heart with others who have ben likewise awakened.
Then our participation is required by our free will:
We effort to rise above our egos, the 'mountain' of differences, repulsion and hatred between us. In this way we prepare the vessel or 'kli' .
He is last. He performs the final step:
We have fulfilled the condition for His revelation by our mutual feeling of connection as one man in one heart. We gradually gain wisdom how to behave like Him.
He fills our vessel with His Light. We feel His presence among us.

Connecting the Points We rose above our separate selves - above our Mount Sinai - to connect all our selfs to bond as one soul. When these 'points' bond correcltly according to the 'internality' Torah instructions (how to change your inner selfish nature) they feel the Creator among them. We now need to achieve this connection for eternity. Reply

Learning is a constant activity in our lives, if we want to be prepared to achieve both skills and a sense of identity. It is the latter learning that this fragment instruct us To be a Jew and act as one . learning Torah is a constant task, and while we read a pasuk every time we do there are new aspects of understanding. Aleph was reserved for the aseret hadibrot, and Bet for the Torah, That in itself is an interesting distinction that had cogent explanations. The point in this fragment is do not delay and start studying. If it is difficult by yourself find a friend or a group but do not delay. !
