Looking at your world from Above, all is good.
Looking at your world from within, things don’t always look so nice.
Until you connect your world below to the world above. Then the goodness flows downward without distortion.
How do you make that connection? By clinging tightly above.
By putting all your trust in G‑d.
I hope this doesn't sound disrespectful, it's not meant to be.
But what are we trusting G-d to do?
My life, in essence, begin with being molested at 3 yrs' old. My father was not the type of person that warranted honor nor respect either.
My childhood was filled with many adverse experiences, then I married a severely abusive man.
All I ever wanted was to be a good wife and mother and I suffered for 16 yrs. to do that. I was raised to honor and obey my G-d due my mother's belief in G-d. She endured pretty much the same things I did.
I'm 82 yrs. old now and have the same propensity to do right in this world, when most of the world could care less about me, Today, and alone, in my extremely painful existence, it's sad to me that I still have to ask this question, because it seems like G-d doesn't care either. Again, What am I suppose to be trusting Him to do? I retrospect, I still have that purity of of love that I was born with, but I do have ?'s now

I was also was molested as a child. Suffered further in a cult and came out recently from an abusive 18 year marriage. The post separation abuse has been worse, even dangerous. I too have wrestled to see if God cares. The question I kept asking was this. If I see a child, molested, and I stand by and watch, what good am I? It makes me complicit. Then, the God of the universe, stands there, and watches? Being betrayed by a human, who cares, but a God that watches? That is betrayal I can't comprehend.
If I had all the keys and the answers to the whole world, would I with-hold those from my children? If I did, and I sat there and watched them toil in exhaustion only to become exacerbated, doesn't that make me a narcicistic abuser? So, what of God? He watches, he knows, he sees, he seemingly does nothing. Then, we see faithful despised, while the evil abounds.
I don't have it figured out. But your message moved me. I'm here. I heard you.

The Talmud does give us direction and commentary. We should try to eat different grains and weather is a factor in our choice of food. For bad weather wheat and spelt maybe a little bit better to buck you up and make you feel better. Buckwheat and barley and corn could be for better weather. Thank you. Reply

Opposite Worlds
Above and below are opposite worlds:
G_d's world is opposite to our world -
His nature is opposite to our nature -
He desires to benefit all humanity, we benefit our self.
The Kabbalists discovered the method how to make below the same world s above:
they worked on feeling as one man with one heart and mind. Only this sensation had the ability to connect them to the Torah which is the Light that 'restores our souls.'(Psalms)
After many encounters with this Light 'below' will be as 'above'.

Since G-d is [within]. In the saying "as above so below" is [above] referring to [within oneself]? Since it is our duty to bring G-d into this world. As above (within oneself where G-d is and should be sought) so below (this world) . Bring G-d into this world. Right? Reply
Amber, sounds right to me. I was raised Christian and that's what we're suppose to believe but many of them can't seem to "get it". That's the obstacle this creates, than separates mystic Judaism and Christianity. So sad about that, but soooo thankful that I discovered Chabad where I feel more at home. I'm not condemning Christianity but "dead works" is their biggest obstacle separating them from G-d and the Ultimate realm of the Spirit "WITHIN". I hazard to think some Jews have not reached that level either since not all of them except the mystic part of Chassidic teachings. when I discovered this website in 2003, I immediately grasp these concepts because I had already experienced these same. G-d and I Elsewhere in Chabad I've read that the Judaism of a Jew has never been of his own self, that it's made up of tradition, history, family and his Creator and presumably his connection to G-d is made up with the same traits. In contrast, the psalmist yearns to be near and under G-d's shadow. In his yearning paramount he declares; "The Torah of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is trustworthy, making wise the simpleton". Psalms/Tehillim Ch 19,8. And that is the nature of a simpleton's connection. Reply

The Love from above is pure,

If fish that lie in oceans and seas possess thought, they must think that the world that lie "above" them [earth] is heaven. They swim navigating amongst dangerous sea creatures peacefully. On an occasion, I saw that there was a type of small fish that ate fruit from a brush that lie on the edge of the coastline "above" them on earth. These fish would powerfully leap up out of the water and snatch berries from a tree, swallow, then go back into the water and continue to swim peacefully. They do not know what circumstances each moment will bring, but it is evident that they "trust" each moment to provide what they need. The earth came out of the water and mirrors the heavens "Above." The people on earth are like the fish of the sea. We must leap up, in prayer, get the fruit of Heaven, and navigate peacefully through dangerous waters below. We don't know what each day will bring, but we must "trust" that with GD's help, He will provide and that is - GOOD.
