It’s hard not to get defensive when someone challenges the very truth of your reality. It’s even harder to extend kindness and lovingly demonstrate the truth to those who mock you.

Yet that was exactly how Sarah, who gave birth to Isaac at the age of 90, responded to scoffers who doubted that she had given birth at such an advanced age. The neighbors gossiped, “Sarah must’ve fetched her baby from the marketplace!”

Sarah responded by peacefully nursing her baby. And to their disbelief, she welcomed their babies into her arms, and proceeded to nurse them as well.

Sarah didn’t get defensive, nor did she argue heatedly. She lovingly nourished her neighbors’ babies, until there was not a shadow of a doubt that she was nursing and had given birth to a child.

Thoughtstream: When other doubt my belief system, I will nourish them with the “milk” of truth, in a loving manner.
