Do good with all your ego.
Say, “I need to make this happen.”
Say, “I have to see this done.”
Not only is this “I” permissible, it is crucial to your mission in life.
So when does ego become evil?
When it believes the I is your mission in life.

The Ego and our forgivness Everytime I so much as open my mouth I tell myself what a problem I really have...Do you know what I mean??? To remove the "I" and know it is God who allows you to open your mouth in the first place finally and I mean finally I am excused from punnishing myself for stating a claim as if it was mine! Reply
"I" I belong, and want to belong to G-D, I must be less of "me" and more of HIM. My thoughts and works must be acceptable to HIM. I as a person am small and need to be aware of my limitations and my reliance on HIS Word and Law. But, I must take responsibilty for my thoughts and actions! Reply
A question? How does one know if he is humble enough? Reply
nice This is the way a Jew thinks. Reply
The I belongs...
Of course the I belongs to me.
But this I lies in the hand of the One who
created it.

That's cool
I love the punch line. i started using the lower case i about three years ago in emails. It kept reminding me to be as humble as possible. That and eating matzoh during the year.
But i might as well go back to the upper case I which I am more comfortable with. And now since I know who my ' I ' belongs to, it's a nice twist, fresh. it'll work very comfortably.
Great DD . Thanks.

Do good with all your ego, but don't ever question your 'I' just to please your ego. Reply
comparison Most of my life I believed that my " I " belonged to me. But now, no longer believing this, I've realized that my biggest achievements in my past are smaller than my small ones of now. Reply
Many people think manliness is a problem because of the big ego...I think this piece of wisdom is important for women but certainly also for men who have felt they can't be bold about things.
