Why were we made so small, with such great heavens above our heads?
Because He desired creatures that would know wonder.

Hashem knows better!
Hashem created us and all beings in certain proportions. He knows better what is better for us.
This helps me in all situations: if I cannot understand some things for the moment, I repeat for myself: Hashem knows better!
Miraculously, in a while he gives me the answer "why it is better for me".

Grasshoppers The Majesty and Wonders of G-D seem to make us so small in G-D's sight so that G-D can show forth HIS miracles and we have Awe in our hearts knowing how great G-D truly is. We are like grasshoppers because the Marvels of G-D are so very great and we need as grasshoppers to stand and give G-D the glory and Majesty for what HE has done. Reply
The Heavens We were made small because not all of G-D'S creations walk on the earth at the same time.Living beings, including all of the animals, would overwhelm the world if everyone was here at once. This is why the heavens are vast,so that eventually all living beings that ever came to earth would would find their way back to heaven. God is Fair. If he wanted you to know more, he'd show you. Reply
How do you know?
I appreciate R. Freeman's enormous effort to bring this daily dose to life, every day.
When it comes to mitzvot, we do know what G-d wants from us. But to assert what He desires is way adventurous. Instead of saying "Because He desired..." would not be better to utter: "Maybe, what He desired..."
No harm intended. Only to pinpoint and separate His truth from ours.

size matters For one to know smallest, is to be thankful to know what it's dimension is.
