There are places you cannot go on your own accord.
To enter into the depths and stay connected above, to enwrap within darkness and be there a source of light, to take on this mission and return in peace is possible only if you are tied and bonded with a tzaddik.
You must be sent there by someone for whom this cavern does not exist; someone for whom the darkness is already light.

Tzadaqah is Justedness, Equanimity, and should be considered as the ''Way in Between'' (the Opposites and Complementaries, or, the all encompassing Way, see Completedness), a sort of Equilibrium (a Tzadiq should be a well balanced Being that is, a whole Being: see Wholeness as Integrity and Holiness), while Tzadiq is the Name for Jupiter, the Planet, that is connected to Jupiter the ''King of the several Gods'' (as Gd is the King of its 72 Names), and to the Tetragrammaton (Name of Gd), which appearently lies (not in the Middle, in the ''Way of Between'' but) on the right Side of the (Qabalah) Tree, that is, on the Pillar of Mercy, see Sephira Gedulah (a Tzadiq may thereof be a merciful Person; at an higher Level, on the same right Side, lies a ''Chakam'' which is a wise Person; whoever lies ''in Between'' lies on the straight Side, see Straightforwardness, see well-balanced Righteousness, see true Justedness, Equilibrium, see Sephirot Kether, Da't, Tipheret, Yesod, Malkut); Blessings Reply
A True Tzaddik I think Rabbi Schneerson was a tzaddik. The stories of his goodness, his rescue of so many, many confused, ordinary people and some very pious men struggling with the darkness, stand as a testament to his faith. Even now his words illuminate the darkness. Would that I could be more like him! Reply
The Tzaddik
We must be very careful here....we must ask who is a true tzaddik? It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man or even a prince.טוֹב, לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה-- מִבְּטֹחַ, בָּאָדָם
Each one of us has a G-Dly soul that is always pure and true, our true Tzaddik, and if we identify with the G-Dly soul we can now engage in everyday life with trust in Him. Only G-D know what is good for us.

being our version of the truth isn't ..for when you hang it up against the Light to look for stains...It turns out the stains are often our own that we have projected onto some situation or person...

At 65 years old I believe I understand. We cannot visit the dark places, "experiment" with the unholy thinking that since we're good people the evil will not overtake us. This is supreme naivite with a little arrogance thrown in. Only a Tzaddik knows who can bring light to dark places without being overwhelmed by the darkness; even with his help. The rest of us should try to avoid such places by leading a Torah-observant life.
