I sit at my royal throne
as I’m given a second soul to refine my connection
I’m away from Jews, all alone
In exile amongst myself, wanting to revert to my old ways
Not asking for recognition, not asking for praise, merely
to awake from this horrific reverie
Tired of being introspective, tired of thinking beyond
All I want to do is gather my belongings and abscond
My senses are slapped back into me and I realize how
proud He must be
I think it over and finally, my heart and soul in unity
can agree
I must continue this path of integrity and truth
For what I do now, in my youth,
Will be the determining factor for my upcoming years
And for what the future bears

Thank You for Being Real in This Poem, Alone Dear Mika. Thank you for your poem entitled Alone. I am a Gentile Zionist, & I just stumbled upon this website. And,oh, there it was... your tender-hearted poem. I just noticed the year is 2013 on all of these replies. So, I don't know if you will see this but am happy to believe that you may still be doing your poetry. Please continue. I'm a retired teacher, & I also am a poet myself. If you haven't done so already, it would be a good idea to put your poems together into a chapbook.
About the poem, Alone, I wanted to say that there are more Gentiles who love Israel who pray for her people (that includes you, honey) than all faithful Jews perhaps realize.Do you recall where Hashem tells Daniel to "seal up the vision." It was to be sealed for the end times, the times we live in right now, & G-d knows the most gracious way He can keep us sensitive to Him is to have us continue in Him by seeking His MERCIFUL face (Ps.11,last verse). Indeed He has KEPT you listening to Him, the best place!
