Cause and effect In what way does this relate to the concept of law and effect? Specifically in relation to 'tikkun' or karma. can an effect be removed or can the results/effects of past actions be removed? Can the actual initiating action be corrected at is seed level? Does the above method mean that we can erase what we've done in the past and escape it's effect? Reply

in a way that could transform one's personal history into events that can only mold the future into something beautiful. Reply

Time = Change The sensation of our nature changing is felt as time to us.

We have a predetermined number of changes to reform our nature to resemble G_d's attributes.

We can cooperate in this process by learning how to behave as "one man and one heart" - then "I will hasten it" or

otherwise we feel the change by force from 'blows' manifested as crises within our lives, institutional system and from natural disaster. In this way we are forced to change our trajectory to reach the goal of Creation. This is called "in due (scheduled) time"

Hopefully we will be able to avoid WW3 ... WW4... financial market collapse ... diseases...earthquakes... Reply

Time Travel In this period of preparing for High Holy Days, with all respect to the Rebbe and Rabbi Freeman, I'm not sure this would be spiritually or emotionally healthy for myself ... it is far too easy to rationalize or gloss over the less flattering aspects of my past - far too easy to paint a "pretty picture" of myself.

One of my flaws is perfectionism that makes me a harsh critic - not of others, but of myself. While there is nothing wrong with setting high goals, the reality is I make mistakes and often fall short. Also, acknowledging and correcting those mistakes helps me not make the same mistakes again - sometimes.

Without the real past, I would not be who I am today with certain elements of positivity and negativity. As one of the popular sayings goes, "I'm a work in progress" B"H; I hope Hashem continues to give me opportunities for growth in spirituality. (No, I haven't enjoyed all those opportunities, but the same have given me new chances for joy.) Reply

Freud: Past and Present Anyone familiar with the works of Freud knows that, to a large extent, our present and future depends on our past.
A traumatic past must affect our present and future - hence the need for many people to go to a psychiatrist or psychologist.
"Switch the direction your past is sending you. Soon enough, it becomes a different past."
Can one just "wipe out" the effects of the past?? With the help of a good psychiatrist/psychologist I believe that people can be helped to "come to grips" with their past. However, surely some elements will still remain which must affect our personalities etc?

Does the Creator determine our trajectory in life? Judaism stresses "free will."

A self within a self within a: True Self Artichoke Like pruning we take away all that would hinder a potential which would come. We note the weak growth, the injured branches, and the unstraight tracks that make up the whole. You find the balance by working with what is provided. If one season we might have had a drout or fire it would be marked, as well as restorative healing tracks from within it's core. Do all not understand KELOID patches? You might see one thing on the outside but the inside is the TRUE being & work of art. When we shed that final cover we will be known by those who KNEW us. What Time Is it. G-D's creations of all thing in the past are HIS handy work, HIS craftsmanship.If anyone could go to the past then they could change the future all it would take is one mistake. Now G-D's creation of human life in these days are also HIS craftsmanship and HIS handy work. We have had our creation when we were formed in the matrix. and our lives reflect the Love of G-D that abides in us forever.
What time is it? Time for us to keep on seeking the LORD so G-D can creat a new day for us to take hold of and do something with. Reply

hello and correctly stated helllo. the assumption is right. because in planes of the mind there is no restrictions as per time or space, permanently this side of reality is modfying itself, sinking to greater amplitudes of fulfillment. we do not know yet how this is happening but we already underlined the connections. a greater good to a greater fulfillment. always moving and sinking in that direction. we our participation in the making of the good and right things. regards. time travel Learn from the past, live in the present and prepare for the future. Many of us are stuck in the past because of unresolved issues but that does not mean we should let the past control us. Reply

Time Travel Interesting idea, but I disagree. The past stays the same. But the way you act now would definetley change the future. The past is important, in that what you did, good or bad, will inspire you or chain you to that course. Reply
