Shalom, I listen to your message about "Comfort, Comfort!: Isaiah's Double Vision." About mid-part in his message. You said, "if you take a look at other cultures and other peoples, who have suffered; and we certainly are not the only people of culture that have suffered, we are the only people of culture who have suffered in this way, nobody suffering comes anywhere near what the Jewish people have been through. People have resentment that they nurse for centuries, they use their pain or their lost for their un-comfortability or displacement as excuses for the most horrific crimes against humanity, like the suicide bombers, like riots, like all the things people who have this pervasive sense of entitlement, this pervasive sense of anger, this pervasive sense of a grudge that is born, and they wallow in sadness, and in depression and failure and it becomes like a genetic thing it gets pass off from generation to generation etc. It sounded like people of color are one of the cultures. Repeat means confirmation Is it possible, that, as with Isaiah, and others, that Ha Moschiach was born and died on the same day? Reply

Comfort, Comfort: Isiah's Double Vision Rabbi Kaplan gives another inspirational lecture. Whether it is the first Haftarot describing G-ds promise for Comfort, Comfort, or Moses on Mt. Sinai, Rabbi Kaplan is sensational. His knowledge, inspiration and spiritual excitment is felt with every word.
Thank you for making Torah come alive and real before our eyes. Reply
