A battle rages inside you.

For every force of good in your soul, a counter-force crouches within to oppose it.

There is only one place that stands beyond assault, the point at which your soul meets G‑d and they are one.

Indeed, the purpose of all those challenges is only to drive you deep within yourself until you reach that essence-point of your soul.

And once you find it, they will vanish as though they never were and you will be at peace.

And so David sang, "You have rescued my soul from its battle in peace."
