After all, He has unlimited ways to provide your livelihood, but He chose to direct you to this way of life.
What sparks of divine wisdom await you here?
My question is,, I’ve been working at the same place for 20 years, approaching retirement age. The workplace is not a kind place emotionally or physically speaking,, lots of lessons,, but I still need to earn an income,, and not sure whether I should leave and follow other income sources that I may be happier with. I know HaShem is guiding me,, but I just am not sure what to do.
I am not a Jew, I am a follower of Torah, Tenak and HaShem for about 6 years now. B’ H

Knowledge is not wisdom yet it seems that many people mistake the one for the other. If wisdom does come as a spark, then it must surely be very small and self-contained. I prefer to think of wisdom as something that applies more generally to many different aspects of the knowledge that we have so painfully acquired. Thus when we are wise we can easily know what to do for a whole variety of situations in which we find ourselves. Reply
A Lesson from Life. Since life is a classroom and the day teaches us lessons by our Teacher the LORD then should we not learn in contentment and in an understanding heart help those who are struggling understand what comes so easily to us through experience and give a hand to those who are the needy who depend on our charity and good will. Yes, however an understanding heart is not a gift everyone possesses, the heart has to be trained and constantly worked through.

Working Lesson I thank you for your insight and choice of words. I am a Spanish teacher and can honestly say that is was my calling. Of righteous memory is my father Akiva Zelig who firstly instilled the love of knowledge into me and secondly the impartation of knowledge. He was a yeshiva student who taught Haftorah, and the memory of him teaching in a Hebrew school left an indelible mark on me. Not all of the teaching experience has been divine, in fact it comes with many obstacles specifically in a secular setting with politics and hostile work environments. But as the Jewish saying goes, "if you touch but one soul, you have done your job". I think the saying was incorporated into the movie Schindler's List, "if you save but one life you have saved the whole world". No good deed goes unrewarded. And may it never be understimated the power of Hashem and his guidance. All of the glory goes to him, we are just vessels,or lights onto this dark world. Daily Dose I have been working on a project and was fearful at moving forward because of funds. I decided to move forward anyway. I start each day reading the Daily Doses, the one this morning was perfect. Reply
This classroom in the universe is where we learn by making mistakes. This way of learning is very effective but it can also be damaging when the mistakes seriously affect ourselves and others too. So however much the world's classrom can help us gaining knowledge, study of others and their mistakes should also be a significant part of what we do to learn, too.
And also remember that change brings pain, pain brings knowledge, knowledge brings understanding, understanding brings wisdom and wisdom makes life bearable!
