Why can’t He provide simple, clear directions and let us just follow His divine plan? Why does He place these challenges before us, forcing us to make our own decisions, to chisel out our own paths?
Because He desires a home in our world
—not a home manufactured in heaven and transported downward to earth,
but a home made in our world
out of worldly materials,
chosen, designed and constructed
by citizens of our world.
Made on Earth
G-d did give us plain and simple directions. He gave us Torah. We have all of the directions that we need. As for being directed in our activities of daily living, we have free will. It is our choice, and our responsibility to try to make what we do each day fit in to G-d's directions. It is up to us to make our long term plans to decide how to live our lives. This means that we will make mistakes. It is also up to us to correct those mistakes.
How boring would it be if G-d was always micro managing us? What kind of automatons would we be if we had no choice? What would be the point if all of the correct answers were laid before us all the time? How boring.

Shar When one knows their purpose then it becomes easy, when one learns another's purpose it is hard. This is to form the unity with others, one must see others as themselves, then the wall is breached and the gate is formed and all will travel as one. As who would say; the path is better traveling with others then alone, as alone is hard and with others made easy. Reply

Clear Directions He did provide simple, clear directions they are called the ten commandments. You see that if we follow these simple commandments we will lead a moral life and keep ourselves out of harms way and have a very calm and peaceful life. For example if we don't covet we won't get tied up in time wasting fantasies, we won't feel less than or more than, we won't be tempted to steal or cheat on our spouses, we won't be constantly looking over our shoulders in fear, and on it goes. Sorry, it is essential that He GAVE plain directions. It is the Torah. But nobody understood His perfect plan. May it be His Will, that the Bet Hamikdash be speedily rebuilt in our days. Meshiach! Reply

What is law and what is Torah law? There are laws of the universe which we scientifically denote. Yet are those laws constant, and can they be broken?
There are laws of Torah, which seemingly are very easy to break. Yet as we know from Torah, Hashem directs all things, even down to a leaf on a tree. So according to Torah, the laws of Hashem cannot be broken.
So, do we adhere strictly to scientific laws, what we now know about the universe, or do we follow Torah law?
Scientific laws tell us what apparently is possible in the world as we know it. Torah laws tell us what is best for the world, ourselves and humanity. Is everything that is possible to achieve in this world the necessarily best thing to do for humanity?
We are guided by Torah law to achieve the very height and breadth of what is possible And what is good for humanity.

A world of Shalom
Somebody asked the meaning of the word Shalom; I guess the Daily Dose of today provides one more very fit definition of this word, of this concept, that we are trying to materialize.
Maybe in a world of Shalom, we will be fit to walk in a new, non yet even imaginable, higher journey.

When i watch the ignorance and futility of humanity, I can't help but wonder if humans only exist to prove G-d's compassion and forgiveness to the rest of the universe.
