At every moment, your Creator must decide, “How should I measure this little creature, with its imperfections and blunders? How often and by what scale?”
Then He looks at how you measure others. And by that same measure, He measures you.

I think it is up to Gd to judge people.
I try to see the Divine in each person. After all, Gd breathed the Divine breath of life into our first ancestor before placing him in Gan Eden, and we have all inherited this Divine breath/soul.
I fail often enough. But my intent is to see it. I have not yet met anyone who lacks a Divine Soul. That is what I was taught is an essential part of being human. Even if I fail to see it, it surely must be there.
I can hardly be the one to decide that a fellow human is somehow to be dehumanized.

Reciprocol Tolerance This has helped me immensely in a current situation at work. I believe it will continue to help me in my everyday life, and I remember the need to be kind, loving and tolerant to all. Thank you for these daily posts that are such a blessing. Reply
measuring otehrs
i thought that the Judaism tenet is not to measure/judge others.
Comparison about people does not appeal to me. Smacks of status of the wrong kind.

Antithesis to HaShem
I learned in Tanya that tzadiks abhor what is antithesis to HaShem because of such a great love for HaShem.
Should I have to be tolerating to what is antithesis to HaShem?

About judgment
To a friend who had a problem (as I do) with the "G-d of Judgment":
G_d in His essence is involved in every step of our life. He could remain entirely aloof, observing us from His transcendent oneness, but that is not G_d.
Instead, G_d has put His essence into His creation, in the form of the infinite delight He receives from every creature. And so, He enters into a relationship with each one, like an improvised duet, playing back to each creature the song that creature plays to Him.
That is what we call "judgment"--how He deliberately plays back to us according to the tune we play. But we ask for compassion in judgment--that He should overlook the flaws, the squeaks and dissonances, taking into account our weaknesses, and tip the balances in our favor. Something like "enhanced tuning" in Garage Band.

A friendly dream I had a friend who once had a dream in which a holy sinner was in the garden of Eden, He asked him how he had arrived in such a place after the actions he had done in the world? The man replied, I always judged every one i saw for the good so G-d did the same for me! Reply
this little creature this "little creature" that has endored bondage, exile after exile, humiliation & extermination, pogroms and the holocaust, watched our family separated, lost and devoured...is no little creature! we stand tall as the heavens with the spark of Moses and the strength of Sampson. We have the wisdom of Solomon and fight like Joshua & the Macabees. And as we still recite the Shema, this rather large and great creation says enough, enough, stop judgeing and deliver your promise..."we all shall see eye to eye when the Lord returns to this abode" may that day be this day! G grades on the curve?
Doesn't seem right, does it?
Rules in an orthodox religion can't very well be relative, can they?

This is perfect justice.
It is an extension of the rule, treat others as you would have them treat you.
