Monarchy or Intimacy?: A Rosh Hashanah Primer

Our sages reveal that G-d's ultimate objective in creation is that the world be transformed into a home for Him, which means He desires a place of privacy and intimacy. How is this to be reconciled with the more universally expressed intent for creation—that G-d's Kingship be established on earth, when monarchy and intimacy are virtually opposite states?

Thank You This was by far the most invigorating and enlightening lecture regarding the radically deep love every Jew feels for the King.
I learned so much from this about Rosh Hashana, that I never knew before. There was a point in the beginning of the lecture when you stated ( not exact quote), that our King was not as concerned with the higher realms, and I wondered why since the Seraphim, and Ophanim etc...are after all His creation. But as the lecture went on, I began to understand what you were trying to say. This discussion is full of Life and passion for our King!!!! I feel so grateful and blessed to learn from this on Rosh Hashana. I humbly thank you for taking the time to teach. Shana Tova!!!!! Reply
