Todah Rabah for this delightful presentation/singing. How uplifting! Reply

R Winter Park, Florida September 16, 2021

A friend tried to tell me that the trumpet was sounded at every Holy day. Not just Rosh Hashanah
or Yom Kippur. He specifically mentioned Pentecost. He is saying that this is supported in Numbers 10. I don't see it. Is there something I am missing? Bob Reply

Rabbi Mendel Adelman September 17, 2021
in response to R :

He is correct. The Torah (Numbers 10:10) writes: "And on your joyous occasions—your fixed festivals and new moon days—you shall sound the trumpets". This was done in the Temple. The Rambam (Laws of the Vessels of the Temple 3:5) writes: "During every holiday, the priests would blow silver trumpets while the offerings were brought." Reply

Hi. I'm a secular person and Iranian/Canadian. Honestly, that voice and that music was one of the most beautiful and heavenly voices I've heard. I really loved it thank you. When the good rabbi talked about oneness with God, it reminded me of my father who was a kind of Sufi Muslim. He loved the poet Rumi, and one poem that he loved and frequently recited had this idea of oneness as a major central theme. He cared greatly about this idea and tried teaching it to us. Thank you for a very beautiful program. Reply

Avril Co. Kerry September 15, 2021
in response to Reza Roboubi:

Reza this really resonated with me, I am a fairly secular jew but this music his voice was of an angel and we can all appreciate the depth of feeling and the message about the soul . I know a little of Rumi the poet - how wonderful that we can all join and rejoice as human beings to such depth of beauty of spirituality Reply

Two very beautiful and gifted servants of HaShem has rendered an inspirational Pre-Yom Kippur ceremony that awakened and stirred my soul. Simply lovely!
May HaShem richly bless you both this year and the work of your hands, so that you can carry us on the wings of doves into the heights of heaven in worship, and enable us to live a life pleasing to our G-d.

Thank you, Chabad.org Reply
