Exile at Home

What role does the oppression, suppression, & repression of women's voices play in our exile inside & outside the land of Israel? I hear repeatedly from reliable Israeli & U.S. Jewish sources that female Mossad warnings weeks before Oct. 7 & pleas from female kibbutz security officers to cancel the music festival were dismissed. Rashi wisely interpreted the creation of Eve as a counter-balance to the impulsive, testosterone actions of Adam. One Chabad rabbi I encountered in Hawaii predicted that female voices would only be fully listened to during the Messianic Era. Now that's something every Jew can do something about right now. Why don't we? Reply

"For you have returned my soul within me."

I pondered this, wondering, what is the difference between sleep and being awake? I looked to see, what is the difference? When sleeping there is no awareness, so upon awakening, the difference is there is awareness. But swiftly changing, pure awareness changes back to the world of thought, thinking, ego, me...but if one focuses carefully one can come to realize that for us, also, there is no time at all. It is always Now.

It is thought that confuses us. We think that the world we live in is actually real, is an actuality, but that is erroneous. Our limitations fool us into thinking that we have separate existence, the mother of all illusions. We try to change what we want, but we are fooled that way.

So I realized that our awareness is a tiny part of the Creator’s awareness and this is the Creator’s link to me! The Creator is totally aware of the whole universe all the ‘time’. We won't be free until we let go of the reins. Reply

Our mind dwells in egoistic territory.
All our thoughts intentions and actions are dominated by an egoistic force.

This force separates us from each other causing conflict, hatred and divisiveness.

Against this force we have a divine spark that moves us to connect in loving-kindness with others. With G_d's help it can overcome our negative attitude towards others.

If we direct our mind to prefer the altruistic connections then we allow G_d's light to come between us.
This Light will spread to heal all humanity.
Then all can come out of exile and move towards the root of their soul into our original land where peace, harmony and love reigns! Reply

i so agree that "Exile is a state of being that we carry within ourselves." and with that, if exile is a state of internal being, that "peace and harmony in this world" must be founded on/in the addressing of that internal state/being.

which external "acts of loving-kindness" often merely mimic, imposter... and even impose upon, for the benefit of our own self esteem/worth/value. which can never fully or truly address our real need.

which is the love of g-d within ourselves, our very being, essence. received from/through/with/in g-d whoislove, loveself. with great rejoicing and jubilation. for all time. and all peoples. everywhere. and anywhere. Reply

I agree. Exile is an internal state of disconnect and yearning to feel close to HaShem. Since we are one nation, when one of us is in exile, we are all in exile. We are spread out around the world, so the only way we can feel more connected is to spread our love for our fellow jew by helping and guiding each other to do more mitzvahs and help others. When we help others, we get out of our ego and self centered state .when we connect with others, we connect with our entire nation, the world, and our creator- HaShem Baruchu. Even if you live in Israel, you can feel disconnected. It is not just where you reside physically that matters. When you help a fellow je, you grow closer to HaShe. And hopefully bring about the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days, so we can all experience the end of our indivivdual and collect live exile.. G-d willing. Reply

Hey doctor! I never thought for a moment that my divine soul was in a state of sickness that needs some tender loving care to be healed. Its communications with me are always quite clear and direct, and they appear to come for a well-organized and logical source. And I have already "returned to Zion" as seen in my address, so the logic apparently applies only to the diaspora-living Jews.

Kindly advise me if the actual situation in my and other human cases (and of which kind of person) this unhappily does not apply. Reply

If indeed I am in a state of exile (and I don't really think that this is true because I happen to have deliberately chosen to live here in Israel), then what I should be doing is to get some psychological help and make more friends. There are some analogies about ourselves that are applicable, but this one strikes me a particularly unfitting. Reply
