The Haggadah itself admits: The liberation from Egypt remains incomplete.
Poverty remains. Evil thrives. We are all still slaves.
What went wrong?
It was that G‑d took us out of bondage “with a strong hand and an outstretched arm.”
We were grabbed and lifted out of there. Which means we really never left.
Every day since, we’ve been running from slavery in Egypt.
Because the only way to attain real freedom is to take some responsibility for your own life, with conviction, purpose, and meaning.
You need to be a partner in your own Exodus.
That’s why we come to the Seder. To take over where the Exodus left off. To participate in our own liberation.
That's what I didn't understand, the whole years not: How it can be possible, that my opressors and abusers are on the opinion, that my right of liberation would be in their hands to decide and to controll, even the states laws and G'ds laws are on my side. I think history has to be written anew. Happy Pessach ❤️
