Forever festive!

Life is a wonderful gift. As Hasidim know, feeling joyful and festive is the ultimate sign of sanity. So why are millions of sane people chronically sad and depressed? I suspect that depression is caused by a sneaky little thought (Yaytzer Orah) that whispers “Life is a sigh, and then you die.” That false thought is based on the misconception that we are merely physical bodies.

The truth is, life is fun, and it’s just begun! But in this physical world it’s easy to forget that our souls or true selves are immortal spirits. We were created in the image of G-d, and we inhabit physical bodies on Earth for a purpose. Our divine mission is to create a heaven on Earth by learning to love unconditionally, and to make love and kindness the dominant vibes on Earth.

Joy Beyond Your World In the material world we feel only our self.

Only when you exit the confines of your world, you will feel Joy.
The joy of the sensation of G_d's world, the spiritual world. A world in which we pass this sensation through me to others.

In the spiritual world we sense a harmonious interdependent network of joy. Reply

heaven and earth sounds like an invitation to learn something that transends the physical world and its' dependent realities. this, to me is about the distinction between "he tnaven and earth", or say regular studies and spiritual studies and i refer to you know what. Reply

Good words after difficult fast feeling atonement. Are the last few hours moving slower? Is the clock stopped? Is it Ok for me to pray the fast passes? I feel the atonement from the fast and prayer and the fast passes and time for breakfast. Reply

Explosive Connection - Spiritual JOY When we let go of the self, let go of our material world calculations to benefit the self, we join in unity with others to connect with G_dliness. Then the Light (Creator) connects with the vessel or 'kli' (us). Our consciousness is raised to a new revelation of G_dlliness and we feel a new world - an explosive sensation of 'us' with Him.

Paper It all seems good on paper. We read about it, we try to experience it, try to teach it, etc. True Joy comes from the connection with G-d. I pray that this type of connection becomes a steady flow. May we all be filled with the cup of joy. Reply

Joy wonderful way to invite G-d Reply

Explosive Joy Rabbi, occasionally I have some joy. I definitely love to study or pray or worship. But I have not come to the point of explosive joy yet. By faith I know there must be that moment because the L-rd definitely talks about that joy. The closest I see is when the Jews danced with their Torah during a Simcha Torah in Jerusalem. For my lot, still just trust and hope. Reply

Joy in Gd I can't exactly think of an impressive example, just a quiet sort of flowing in the mere expression of love for Gd.
