When light pushes away the darkness, eventually another darkness shall come.
When the darkness itself is transformed into light, it is a light that no darkness can oppose.

Darkness is absence of light Darkness in a cave is pitch black when they turn off the lights and it is cool and damp in the cave. I sleep in darkness to rest my brain, my eyes, and my body, so to do work and enjoy another day in the light. Are sins human made? If so, to reduce and stop sin is the responsibility of mankind, all of us. Reply
Transitioning with the Light When we are transitioning from dark to light we are transitioning with the light of G-d. Reply
Darkness into Light A profound thought! Some might think that darkness is the absence of light. Darkness is unmanifested light for all come from the Source G-d. Light does not transform darkness for light is light. Darkness must transform so that the unmanifested light within may manifest. Once this happens, in its complete reality, there i no way back! Rabbi Akiva's students The question is were Rabbi Akiva's students living in light or darkness? Reply
sorry
For the next while, i have to decrease my religious thoughts. Israel is in big trouble. Egypt and Turkey are venting against Israel under suspicious excuses. And who else will join this mob ?
The alarm is sounding for us to be wise, to see the future, a call to arms, for alertness, a battle cry Never Again !
That's just me. I prefer to overreact than under-react on this subject. Elul is for closeness to Hashem. It is also for understanding unequivocally that Hashem only helps those who help themselves. The Yom Kippur War should never be forgotten. Never Again! It is time for the rest of our rabbis to get it. For some it is to boost morale. The vast majority must bear arms. It's one thing to look after your soul. It is as important to check in with our DNA, to rise up and fight. Nobody else is going to fight for us. WW II proved it. Today, Jerusalem needs the transformation to be lit by soldiers. 'Next year in Jerusalem ' is moot.

The Ultimate Transformation
On this 10th anniversary of 9/11, I thank you for this Daily Dose which, to me, describes the ultimate challenge the L-rd gives us.
We cannot permanently eradicate darkness no matter how much light & love we shine on it. That light is still on the "outside." Darkness must be transmogrified from the inside out...& we must begin with that which we find in our own minds and hearts.

Transformation eg, by simply changing your own way at looking at things, people, and even yourself ?? Reply
transformation
If you pay your electric bill you can turn on your lights when you want to--and, this is intended for humor only because I am fired from the electric company.
The transformation words I hear in my mind twice, so since I camp in a tent for a place to live, I need to seek that eternal light.

Transformation On this 10th anniversary of 9-11, and read this Daily Dose, I can not help but think of the evil on that day and wonder. Because of the type of work I do, I tend to think in concrete, like 1+1=2. My abstract ability is very limited. Even knowing light describes G-dly nature and darkness evil etc., my first thought usually is about that 24 hour period (even time will be no more), and somehow the sun, the moon, the stars are not the sources of light anymore. Transformation is easier for me to pray for myself, to see it in the society I am in- thank G-d like right now I am talking to you. But as an average individual, I shun evil that I tend to remember the lake of fire for the wicked. For sure the Rebbe is above many of us. I do not doubt what he says , but like with the L-rd, I can not tell all what He decides to do. It is beyond my comprehension if there is a transformation of evil into good. May the L-rd have mercy on His people in the land of Israel, in the USA, and in the world. Reply

Working With The Darkness G_d wants to give pleasure to His creatures. He created us as a desire to receive this pleasure.
The problem arose when He introduced the 'serpent' - the intention to receive pleasure for myself.
We disregard the Giver. We disregard others. We disconnect from the one Soul.
This degrades us to this dark world.
From this low place, from this bad attitude, we must recognize the serpent within. Then only, can we pray for the Light to correct our evil inclination which is exposed as all the corruption and suffering we observe in this world.
G_d intended for us to have a desire to be happy, to enjoy His abundance. He needed us to be conscious of how to use it correctly. Then His Light, with our participation corrects our intention to use this desire to receive for the benefit of the collective.
