The Mission Statement: A tribute to Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg

A powerful tribute to Rabbi Gavriel and Rivky Holtzberg הי"ד and eight thousand of their fellow Shluchim and Shluchos, accompanied by the Rebbe’s talk upon his accepting leadership of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement in 1951.

Rabbi Wichnan zt"l set me up in 1994 at Tifferes Bachurim in Morristown NJ to learn with Gabbi weekly with R' Gabbi הי"ד in Tomchei Tmimim upstairs. Gabbi taught me my first sichos of the Rebbe and was a true friend and an extremely gifted teacher. May Hashem avenge his blood. Reply

I wasn't ready to see the Holtzberg's in this video, such klei kodesh, who sacrificed themselves alts kiddush haShem. And to hear the are Rebbe's voice breaking as he spoke about the mesiras nefesh (self-sacrifice) of Avraham, it was as if he was shedding tears for the Holtzbergs, H' yinkom damam. Heartbreaking. The Mekavah of the Rebbe I do not find any strangeness between Rivky and Gavriel Holtzbergs' words, facial expressions and actions in their mission statement. Everything they have done seems very natural to them. I believe that they had been the merkava (Chariots) of the Rebbe, and they are so even now by their compassionate deeds they left for us. Reply

So inspiring, that you realize that there is no real excuse not to be part of the movement, in any some way. Reply

Very meaningful. You have captured something very beautiful in this video. I was able to see the greatness of the Rebbe in a different way. Also, I was able to see the greatness of the Holzbergs in what they did. Reply
