Make your own Hakhel Gathering! Well today, in America, and around the world, it is in fact observed. There are hundreds of Hakhel gatherings that have taken place this year. But since nowadays we don't have a Holy Temple, we cannot observe it as it was done in those times. But we are still able to do it, and it's up to us to unite. Reply

Hakhel Why is this not being done today in America? It would seem to me that since it is every seven years, than it should be observed. This is a time to unite the Jews and make them stronger in their faith in God and the Torah. I long for that connection, when all things are set aside. Reply
