small and infinite Dear Tzvi, this is something dual. The feeling of being very little and at the same time ( for whom He is in us and is watching on us with love), very special thing; i guess we get a perspective that .... how many millions of people are at this time in the world ?.....so, to make a deal of oneself only in our mission on how much light and love illuminate the world around us. That is all. Humility is not something that we really can measure in a person. Sometimes a people who we think are so humble maybe they are not. People who look so proud to us maybe is much more humble that we think. I get the conclusion that it is better to get away from judgment. of any kind. Just to know we are a little sand but we need a lot of this little sand to make a beach. And the beach is so nice! Wow! Reply

The Small And The Least It isn't a point of being a small person or the least person. I know a man who is both those things and still remains in them to this day. He feel there will be never any hope in sight of things ever changing for him.
To look and not be seen. To be in a crowd and never noticed. To be in a restaurant and only the waiter knows who you are. To be at home as a writer yet no one will read anything you want published. Reply

Interesting It is interesting that this is similar to the Zen philosophy, except that Judaism is a monotheistic faith. That's why the nothingness and smallness does not become apathy and meaninglessness, because we can be closer to G_d.
It's also true that the smaller the ego the less upset we get. Reply

i love it ! since coming to this Chabad site i have been working at this notion. it gets repeated time and time again. it forces me to keep taking stock each time. my reflex is to ask G-d to help me improve. then i forget and so i appreciate the repetition since i need all the help i can get. Reply
