I don't relish the notion of erasing the" me me' that several writers say is the culprit. Indeed, Rabbi Hillel tells us that we should first take care of ourselves. Obviously, he goes further to then help and protect others. Protecting others comes from knowing how to protect ourselves! There is a balance of procedure to accomplish both. but it can be done. The "me me" as blinding is for those people who claim they are "the best, they have accomplished much, and show off their home " whiteout a shred of respect for the rest the people since "THEY are not worth it. " Surely, they can't see beyond the mirror in which they appreciate themselves ! ** The lesson in this beautiful fragment is for us to truly open our eyes and perceive the beauty of this world, the truth, and grasp the gratitude who should feel for companionship of good people. From all these we then derive the goodness of H" as Creator. That is why we exist in this world. Reply

That should be "I Am", as G-d IS, and "I am" as we all know we are, and exist. "Me me" is all yours to do with as you wish.
G-d told Moses to say “Ehyeh” sent me, Ehyeh meaning I Am. Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, meaning I AM what I Will Be.
That, IMO, means that since He is everywhere and doing everything (Ein Od Milvado) He will be what He will be in each and every person. So in that case He is “I am” in each person until He Perfects us. Then I AM will also be I AM.
You go ahead and do as you like.

Though when I feel well physically, the world and people are beautiful to me. But when I'm ill, all the world looks bleak and I don't want to be with anyone.
PTSD is debilitating to the spirit, but I have learned that the darkness will not last and eventually the darkness will become light. Isaiah 34 & 35, speaks to my life. I'm sure there are many levels of understanding to it's meaning also.

Dear Linda: The comments we submit come around at a later time from when we wrote them. I hope that by now you are in a better place I just now see your post. I agree with you that as human beings we all are vulnerable, and this is a venue for being sad, the sadness can take over. Yet, you yourself argue that is seems to be a temporary darkness, and we all suffer one way or another from this certain times. Thus, yes, we must follow Hillel dictum to first take care of own own needs, but then not only. Pessimism can turn in time to optimism again by regaining trust in the argument of Avishai 2024, that talks about trust in H'. There are so many thing we don't know and probably will never grasp, but the suggestion of the fragment is to continue being in THIS world because in it we will find H'. beast wishes. Reply
What does it mean, to open our eyes? To see the world as it actually IS.
How do we see the world as it actually IS? The world that G-d made?
Errr….that G-d is making constantly?
What does it mean, to abandon the world He has made?
To think what you want, to dress up what you see trying to get something better?
How about to escape and not face directly what is there and instead try to improve on it?
Maybe it is best to accept what G-d gives us and not try to force others to give us what we want.
G-d is the Actuality behind everything, and the One who organizes the movements of the Universe.
He will organize you and in so doing liberate You from you.

Avishai: I tend to disagree. Surely, we are granted free will and it us who organize the way we want to live our lives. The guidance is there outside of you: The Torah, the Rabbis and commentaries but ONLY you organize your life the best you are able to. How do you react to obstacles? Do you resolve them or shy away? One thing is trusting the power of Hashem and another organizing your life.! Reply
To Feigue Cieplinski: I am not trying to tell anyone what to do. My intention is merely to recommend learning to see clearly what actually IS, and adopt that path. I used to use an example of following the center of the path that is easily followed and that ends up in following the Divine Will, but in the event that one walks the outside edges or oversteps the edges of the trail we will learn to avoid going outside of the Divine Will.
Also it is important to learn to live in the NOW, which is the only "time" there actually IS.
Everything else is fruitless.

Tuning Out Of Exile
We are surrounded by G_d's Light.
We cannot sense it because we are tuned into our mindset of egoistic qualities which disconnect us G_Dliness. We all dance to our own tune - the preference of our self over others. We only feel our self, our separate world of existence. This is exile from the spiritual world.
To tune into G_d's Light we must become equivalent to His Nature. By joining our hearts to feel love, bestowal, incorporation of me as part of you and you as part of me, then we will resonate with His Being, with the Surrounding Light.

The author states to open our EYES of which I partly agree. Our physical EYES are tainted by sin, the "fall of mankind." We need to open our spiritual EYES. This can only come as we daily communicate with the Infinite G-d. I suggest re-reading the book of Genesis especially chapters 1-3. Also, Chabad has an excellent Torah study topic, Eden Decoded, which gives a concise and clear understanding about the problem with environmental human perceptions. Reply

I truly believe what you say, buy with every passing day it is more and more difficult to live in this world. Why? It comes to my mind that it is because it is very difficult to free oneself of the "me, me, me" frame of mind. I depend totally on others to be happy or not. What can one do, if we want to live in the world and survive!!! Reply
Relationships allow us to be our TRUE selves - we are not selfish, but giving creatures. Hashem is not selfish, be like Hashem, He is your true self (in the image of God you are made) :) So be around people you know like siblings, and give them love. I love my siblings so much. The only form of love is unconditional love. And get to know new people (who are also your relatives since we all come from Adam and Chayah) and give them gifts of any form!!! A simple genuine smile and expression of genuine consideration is everything to another person. People who are mostly selfless are honourable. Reply

But I also know there is a THERE...In Heaven...it does exits, its just OUTSIDE our frame of understanding and existance........ its a quantum leap you can only experience fully after death, not before! I been there and know that I know that it does exist! But I was sent back because it was needful for me to finish what was started in this realm of my life! I just pray I am completed before I leave the next time. Learning is an ongoing process and lessons in life in this life needed to be learned before you graduate from this time and space. But real life only begins after death! But here and now is temporary but after ... is permanent and when life is really lived! Reply

Liberation I assumed that G-d would provide me with the escape either through death or an AH HA! moment. It makes sense for me to bring him from exile but I don't know how. Liberation being everything here and now I can comprehend but I don't think I'll ever truly grasp it. I'm so lost I don't know which end is up. I have the things most would want. The simplest of one thing, the love of my 7 year old daughter I am denied. G-d I welcome you from exile with open arms. I'm right here. Reply

Everything " Must Grow "
Abandon Belief, abandon Faith, and Grow into trust in G-D. Because trust is the key ingredient that will restore our self confidence that which we lack and have lost. Because how can we have Belief and faith without confidence ? When confidence is the back bone of reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, that is Trust ? For it is better to teach than to learn and once we are able to to have this Trust in G-d, then and only then are we able to teach other and Grow from our teachings. Confidence is the certainty of the future and our future is G-D so why deny the present when we know our future and begin to trust Now not later.
As long as we have this mentality we have exiled Ourselves. The most important thing is to do and we can start Now. Till then we are deaf and blind and we can not Envision that entity which is our present and future which has been starring at us for a long time. Trust Blindly in G-D almighty our G-D of Israel which through he has always been there!!
