Greetings and blessings,

In response to your letter of the first day of Rosh Chodesh Elul: As per your request, I will mention you and your household both at the gravesite and in the room of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ, each one individually, according to his or her needs.

With regard to your question concerning earning a livelihood: It is certainly necessary to make natural mediums, as explained in the Tzemach Tzedek’s Sefer HaMitzvos, (p. 106a), and in Kuntreis U’Maayon, (Discourse 17). When natural mediums are made, G‑d will send His blessings for everything required by you and your household.

With regard to what you wrote concerning the esrog business: May it be G‑d’s will that if you do this, you should be successful. This is, however, only a temporary occupation and you must look for a permanent business to earn your livelihood. And if you invest the effort, you will find. 1

Undoubtedly, you have fixed times to study the teachings of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, הכ"מ. This is a medium to draw down and receive his blessing in both material and spiritual matters.

With blessings for a kesivah vachasimah tovah,

Menachem Schneerson
