Such a beautiful interview.
I met Meira and was interested in her story.
Love her happy attitude and enthusiasm towards miztvot.
I became frum in my teens and bH frum for many yrs, and unfortunately some of the enthusiasm already rubbed off.
Thank u for reminding me why I did it.

Inspiring interview! After watching it it seems clear that a big part of why she generally felt so accepted in a totally different world, community- is her own beautiful, sunny, trusting nature. Sometimes people will rant about how people are are not inclusive but often those people need to look in the mirror. Everyone, being human, is naturally drawn to pleasant human beings and tend to avoid the opposite. Reply

This story! It's motivating to see story like this. Being born into a Jewish family both ethnically and religiously is the greatest gift or blessing one can receive. Many people around the world are learning of their Jewish ancestry and getting closer to the scripture of the bible. Reply

Don't forget: despite our surnames, ethnicities, complexions, eye color, origins, hair style...the list goes on...that among you born into Judaism, there's those of us who may not "look or act the part" but who've gone through years of struggle, study, and serious introspection before we've taken on the covenant you all inherit. You may never know who's another MoT. As within many a family, there's stepchildren, adoptees, and in-laws, as it were, who ask to be welcomed by you. Reply

What happens if you always knew your were a Jew growing up via your maternal grandma but lived in a place that didn’t have a Temple and when you moved everyone around you were Christians, Ultra Orthodox Jews or Israelis but didn’t treat you appropriately because you looked different even though you knew you were a Jew .You finally meet a Chabad that respected you and you decided to take a DNA test only to find out that you are all the 3 types of Jews, Ashkenazi/Sephardic & Mizrahi, what’s a gal to do? Wow! Our jewish nation should be so grateful that she made it "official". What a special blessing to our nation.

She mentioned wanting to go to seminary in Israel... i believe the seminaries should have her come and give her story and outlook on keeping torah and mitzvos - the girls would greatly benefit from it. Reply
