The Chasidic Revolution: A Jew is a Jew is a Jew

The "Chasidic revolution" of the late 1700s and early 1800s revealed the basic truth that "a Jew is a Jew is a Jew." This premise -- that a Jew always remains essentially Jewish -- also introduced a new approach for dealing with spiritual defects when they crop up.

My connection in Las Vegas Thank you, Rabbi, for giving me teachings and I will study the teachings of Tanya. The Temple I like is very far and I don't drive on Shabbat. I am missing so much but the rabbi brings teachings to me all the way from New York. I am looking for ways to learn more and I suppose be more Jewish. I was born christian and found the teachings wanting, to say it lightly. Thank you and I look forward to learning more. Reply

The Chasidic Revolution Rabbi, you talk mostly of the Tanya. I have the Tanya and I like the teachings very much. I would like to know the difference between the Tanya, Pirke Avot and the Mishnah. I find these sacred books to be amazing teachings, and I simply love them all. But I would like to know the difference between each one of them. Is Tanya more important to the Chabad teachers than the Torah, or the books I just mentioned? Thank you so much for your teachings, I appreciate it so much. Reply

A goy point of view Indeed a palatable discourse I have enjoyed with. My conclusion is that A Jew is a Jew is a Jew is tantamount to say I am what I am and that this is the beginning of a transformation of the Self. Perhaps I'm wrong but anyway I'm looking forward to take a look at Tanya lessons. Reply
