Really brilliant approach to weight loss and gain. Rethinking our purpose and how and what we are doing not just with food. Getting everything in balance and perspective like counting the omer. Yes, we all have an inner voice trying to get us away from our purpose and where we are too strong for this voice in some areas in our lives, we need to balance our strengths across all areas of our lives. When we achieve this in small steps, this will be a lasting change that will empower us.
Very nice to listen to such level, well thought out approaches towards health and wellbeing. Thank you Reply

Most any psychological concept preceded with the word “self” will inherently carry along with it a potential heavy liability in terms of true inner and spiritual peace. Better to focus most of our attention outwardly, such as in seeking outward esteem that is, of course, experienced inwardly (e.g., experiencing the good in others and in the experience of spiritual things from afar) over self-esteem than on things that force us to focus inwardly in a burdensome self-centered manner. in response to Robert Sockloskie:

The main point in my above post is that we need to be aware of what it is that we are internalizing. Feeding the ego with pride, for example, is, again, putting our inner and spiritual peace in jeopardy. Better to put the ego on a starvation diet by transcending the self and our body image in only internalizing and experiencing all the goodness that exists beyond us, spiritually, religiously, and interpersonally! It requires an upgraded, heavenly state of mind that begins with a strong desire and a longing for, along with our exerting much effort in meditative prayer from here below, but it requires the presence of Shechinah from above as our companion! Reply
