The happy smiling face of a child is our greatest reminder of G d’s prescious miracle, the gift of life. There’s no greater gift on this earth than the miracle of childbirth. In our world of today, I feel there are too many people who take the birth of a child for granted. Years ago the birth of a child used to be a celebration because it was considered to be a gift from our creator, G d. Now, we protest, hold conventions, picket birthing centers to demand the rights of a woman to have an abortion. We fight amongst ourselves when life actually begins. How can we hold G d near and dear to our hearts yet question what the love between a man and a woman can create through G d’s hand. When we look at all those small smiling faces, we must remember it’s like looking at the light of the sun or the breathtaking display of an awesome sunset. Life is precious and should be enjoyed with a smile on our faces and a twinkle in our eyes similar to those displayed by our smiling children. Reply

Reclaiming Childish Joy
The interaction between a baby and its mother is the closest example to divine love between us. The baby bathes in the mother's love while she enjoys the positive response.
This is how the system between us was initially created. One soul through which the light circulated within a positive feedback loop. Then G_d arranged it's collapse so that the intention to receive His joy for all became a desire to receive his light for myself. The Light cannot flow under this 'sin'. We feel separated from the other parts. We even feel we can do as we please.
To restore he system we need to recognize the evil, and be willing to emulate the original system. Then the Light helps to gradually restore us to the state when we bathed in His love. We earn this state which feels even greater joy than before!

Firstly I like to say that I am very very glad that my request of daily news successfully submitted and reach your reception,
Secondly what you say is true, why the child is always look happy? It is because the child is not committing sin, So If also we adult act as child before the eyes of our G-d but not exactly like she/he do G-d will do great things for us, and feel the joy that the child always experiencing

joy... children can be sadistic, either by way of ignorance or experience, or both; anyway they need the basic teachings on behavioral perameters. Children and adults need social control; but children don't see what adults do with their various pathologies. If they did, and a lot do, they would not be full of too much joy. Reply

The point of this teaching is that the tragedies you mention are unnatural to the normal flow of the human soul. When humans behave unnatural much sadness is created. However, even in the midst of all the turmoil caused by the unnatural behavior, nevertheless, the realization that beneath it all lies our natural disposition allows for hope and joy that we can fix it all, and return ourselves and the world around us to its natural course.

God created us for . . . I have nothing against happiness but I compare happiness to a butterfly. It lands briefly here and then briefly there before it moves off again. I think God had something more in mind--He is much more concerned with our pursuit of holiness. Reply

Of course. They don't know Iran and Lebanon and Hisbollalh, Gaza and Hammas and all the Palestinians said in Bethlehem.
And the people on their way into the Gas Chambers during the Holocaust - should they be happy, because their little ones were happy, as they could not understand what was going on?

Childish JOY
YES, I agree. When I do put my FAITH in GOD...I do have JOY...even somewhat Childish JOY.........I am very HAPPY.

Are there no happy Jewish women? There are! I am one of them!
So why use a photo of a muslim woman in hijab & what looks like a chador?

All children are children, and the message of serving G-d with joy is a Jewish message for all people.
Indeed, we have many Muslims who visit our site, along with people of many other religions and creeds. I believe we can all worship the same G-d, share wisdom and live together in harmony without abandoning the wonderful diversity of our traditions and ways.
