Another thing about your kosher inner animal:

Having a split hoof means it points in two directions at once.

That's important. Because if you want your animal to shine, never let it go in just one direction.

It has to go to the right—to reach out to others and pull them close.

And at the same time, it has to go to the left—not to compromise when integrity is at risk.

For example, if you want to help someone find their path in Torah and life, it has to be with love.

But if the love bends the Torah, in the end, there's neither Torah nor love.

That's the path to truth: Always go in two opposite directions at once.
