People ask, “But how could you see good in the future when so much evil dominates—and it grows day by day?”
But such is the order of things: Darkness was placed in the world only to challenge light. As the light intensifies, the darkness thickens in defiance.
Darkness and evil are nothing but a place and time where light and good hasn't happened yet. The void in the time-space continuum manifesting an incomplete work. We must fight this darkness inside us, the insecurity of the rational, limited mind when facing God's greatness... Reply

Intensifying light, thickening darkness... This was very informative as I have seen countries, or in some cases, like Schem (Shomron), which have had this "thick darkness" for years. I have also seen it in New York and France (it covers the entire country). Now Schem is understandable because it is Holy Ground, but what of these other places, is it due to the concentration of evil powers to combat the forces of ultimate Holy Light? So then would this be concentrated Light in which there is no darkness at all? Reply
This is the challange How cold are you up in Canada Mark? It is good to know science but don't all scientific laws which try to define our time space and matter end up coming back to faith that all creation and the laws that govern them is all of God? I like how you end up that doing a mitzvah we both end up smiling and creating a light and God sees that light for it opens a portal to the spiritual world and for that moment God enters and joins us and the darkness is banished but for the moment. and that is His plan to light the world with mitzvahs as we go thru each day. may be it would be better to befriend? For that what you fight gets stronger.I love darkness, amygdala needs it (forms melatonine)...love grey and foggy days, when all is moist and clouds protect us. Love sunny days, spring, autumn.
But the extremes in summer and winter, in dark and light, too fiery absolutism, those are the things that cause trouble..
So I thank darkness for her soothing evenings, take rest from hectic of world, silent nights to study, see, learn. thank days for more vivid and brighter light that washes away the shadows of the night, brings the people I meet.

Just try to search my way(learning/growing;) by heart (Love) and head (Light). Live (try to)between the paradoxes of life as it is. Sometimes in a "wu wei" way. Do by not doing.
Not easy as there is still the pathos part in me. But maybe that's the place where compassion grows.

A tautology By this logic, shouldn't the darkness keep thickening no matter how intense the light? This is a tautology; it just folds in on itself and is gone. Why construct a rationale? -- Do good because it's its own reward. And it might earn you a smile; all the light you'll need. Reply

John Milton wrote in his appeal to the muse of poetry: "That which is within me dark, illuminate, and justify the ways of G-d to men". He was trying to explain the progress of the creation in his epic poem "Paradise Lost".
