At first, there was nothing but endless light.
The light was concealed.
But the One who shines all light remains everywhere.
The adult seeks light.
The small child touches its Source.
Pray as a small child.
Even with all the keys to light that you hold, pray as a small child.
A child's mind is uncluttered with the outside world and they see clearly thru the eyes, mind, and heart, there aren't blockages dimming
G DS, Light. However, as we age, we also can see clearly the Light of G D, thru consistent
prayers, meditation and allowing G D with the
glorious light to shine upon us on both the outside and inside of our beings.

There is seeing, and there is viewing. There is the child and then an adult. What is the child doing viewing, or seeing? MY response is that the child is seeing simply because he/she doesn't entertain complex rationalizations about this world. The child sees directly and with youthful innocence. In contrast, an adult who has lived life is already disappointed by experiences and this his seeing is blurred by them , and cannot visualize H' as a child. The fragment of the Rebbe is ,as always , direct and visionary with telling us "never lose your inner child " because that one helps you to see H' more directly, and given our experience as adults, also express gratitude for the blessings we do have. Who is happy? The one that has trust and looks to the future with clarity that H" is in charge and we jut st must go forward. Seeing leads us to a happier living and the truth. Viewing in contras is superficial and might lead to negation of what we should hold dear. Reply

What fun it is to be as a child, but wise as an adult. GD views us as His Children, and when we are teaching students, we are to view them as our children. Now, I understand when my teacher, Ms. Horowitz, called the class her children. In the Talmud, Shabbat 152 tells us that we are to view children as "a garland of roses," a time of innocence and beauty. In their purity, the light in their eyes, and the sounds of their joy and laughter, reflects the light and joy of Avienu Malkeinu that is always with us and in us, as He lovingly looks upon us, and cares for us.

Question that has been bothering me for a long while speaking about children and adults: Living span has become longer, and given that should a young child of 13 have a Bar Mitzvah when in reality he is not ready precisely because he has not lived long enough to understand even the TEN WORDS? I witness parties that celebrate the coming of age, but then that is just a party with a theme and almost not tied to the main purpose that is becoming a jew with full responsibilities. can a 13 year old grasp it, or should it be better at 18 years old. I know this is difficult to contemplate, but aren't Rabbis attempting to fix issues of divorces with pre- nuptials and post -nuptials, then, why not ponder about pushing the Bar Mitzvah a few years up?
