There are no heretics nowadays.
You have to know an awful lot to be a heretic.

to Warren Warren, anyone who's mother is Jewish or has had an Orthodox conversion is Jewish, regardless of whether they practice Judaism or not. Ask your local Rabbi for details :) Reply

Heretics If there are no more heretics, should we stop saying the prayer in the Amidah that berates them? Reply
Definition of a Heretic
The following have no share in the world to come, but are cut off, and perish, and receive their punishment for all time for their great sin: the minim, the apikoresim, they that deny the belief in the Torah, they that deny the belief in resurrection of the dead and in the coming of the Redeemer, the apostates, they that lead many to sin, they that turn away from the ways of the [Jewish] community.
Five are called 'minim': (1) he who says there is no God and the world has no leader; (2) he who says the world has more than one leader; (3) he who ascribes to the Lord of the Universe a body and a figure; (4) he who says that God was not alone and Creator of all things at the world's beginning; (5) he who worships some star or constellation as an intermediating power between himself and the Lord of the World.
The following three classes are called 'apiḳoresim': (1) he who says there was no prophecy nor was there any wisdom that came from God and which was attained by the heart of man;

Heretic
I am not Jewish, but...
Abraham had a son named Isaac who had a son named Jacob (Israel); Israel had (at least) 12 son's one being Judah. Judah is the father of the tribe or family we call the Jewish tribe.
I am a member of my ancestors tribe or family even though I don't believe in their G_d or Worship in their fashion. Many Jewish individuals do not practice the "Jewish Faith" nor do all Jewish individuals believe in the Jewish G_d or any G_d.
These are a Non-Jewish thought...

Herectism
Dear Chabad community and readers, I have a question.
I have a friends who consdire's himself Jewish. Well I think he is'nt because first of all he doesn't believe in G-d nor does he practices religion. So personally I think he is'nt Jewish. Is this belief ethnically correct?

Heretic --> "able to choose"? What does the word "Heretic" mean in Jewish thought? Reply
Heretics There are a lot of heretics that I have personally met who insist they are right and everyone else is wrong. They are dogmatic on their false beliefs And no one can get through to them the right and true ways the scriptures. I realize they don't have hardly any morals to stand on in their lives. I find them very sad and loney people with no hope of ever changing, What I would like to know is how do I get through to them on believing what is right and true and right from the scriptures and in their lives.
