You may ask, “Why must I study and learn?
Is not the truth already within me?”
The truth is locked within, deep in slumber.
It is awakened and liberated by the truth that comes from without.

A poem that relates to inner and outer truth
When searching for Him
Know well His place
inside of soul
Outside of space
Climb levels of thought
To the height of your mind
Reach deep in your heart
and Him you will find
Think with your mind
Feel from within
And where to look
Is out and in.

That is so true, it's an accurate description of the process that awakened the truth within me by the revelations I experienced whilst walking with my dog through countryside with which I was absolutely familiar, or so I had previously believed until that moment of epiphany.
Of course it's a coincidence that 'dog' spelled backwards describes His Holy Name...but one cannot help wondering if such a trivial observation isn't serendipitous albeit by accident? It was as if the dog seemed to be saying, "I've been trying to show all G*d's wonderful handiwork for years and finally I see you've got the message! Took you long enough!"
Everything is all tied together from the smallest insect to the mightiest tree but you need to really experience this to understand what a revelation it was to me. Its so much more than is inadequately described by words like 'environment' and 'ecology' and all the rest.
For years I've been watching my dog trying to help me find G*d and I suddenly got it.
