To the Graduates of the Yeshiva Achei Tmimim Lubavitch
New Haven, Conn.

Greeting and Blessing:

In connection with your forthcoming graduation, I send you, together with all the students of the Lubavitcher Yeshivos everywhere, prayerful wishes to make this commencement, as it is called, an exercise in commencing intensified Torah study on a higher level. For this, indeed, is the true meaning and purpose of every Torah Siyum.

And bearing in mind the principle of our Sages that “The greatness of Torah study is in its leading to practice”—the fulfillment of the Mitzvos in the daily life, your new milestone in your Torah study will surely stimulate you to a greater measure of dedication and inspiration also in the fulfillment of the Mitzvos with increased Hiddur, permeated with the light and vitality of Chasidus.

Included in the above is a deeper realization of the responsibility and Zechus bestowed upon you as Neros L’Hoir—shining lights to illuminate your surroundings with the light of Torah and Mitzvos, and to kindle ever more Jewish souls—“The lamps of G‑d” with Ner Mitzvo V’Torah Or.

With special efforts to do your part in the five urgent Mivtzoim—Tefillin, Torah study, Mezuza, and promoting Tzedoko and sacred books (at least Chumash, Tehillim, Siddur) in every Jewish home, about which you have heard a great deal recently.

May G‑d grant that you should go from strength to strength in all above. With blessing for Hatzlocho and good tidings in all above,
