From a Long-Time Anxiety Sufferer Does this method work if you yourself don't know what you're scared about? How do you know that you're not just making up something silly? Or is the point just to come up with something? Reply

I have found it to work often in such cases. The reason is that you start using your logical brain to look for the root cause of the anxiety. Even if you come up with something that is not the main cause, but is a contributing factor, you are now in thinking mode, searching for solutions for that factor, which can take the edge off of your stress. The great thing about techniques such as this, is that doing them often enough can become a good habit. Wishing you peace of mind.
