How could anyone's soul have feelings that we are aware of? For instance, my soul never manages to transmit feelings to my mind, although my mind does have feelings of its own. I think our ideas about the soul are inaccurate becaue the instruction to inflict it of Yom Kippur does not seem to have any connection with fasting.. Reply

Miki - It is symbolic of the Tree of Life - Sefirot. The name Miki means one who is like GD, is agile, and is a beautiful tree. Today's inspiration, underlies the Ein Sof, existence, the human psyche, and their intertwined relationship, which is depicted in the Sefirot model of the Tree of Life.

Since learning more about the soul, my previous comment below needs to be revised or even scrapped! But I will leave it there, to show you how I have learned to change my mind,
Writers about the subject of EIN SOF and the human soul should be very careful about how they express these ideas, particularly to a young and doubting audience. This is shown up by the few comments below.
I now believe I can answer one of them about communication with one's soul. This method is through what is perhaps more commonly known as our conscience. We somehow have within our minds a part that when we listen to it tells us what we should be doing.
It is as simple as telling us to get out of bed in the morning, and more involved when we feel slightly guilty through not giving much or any charity to beggars in the street, So, although many persons like you may not want to accept this claim, we do have the means and frequently do give certain answers to what our souls are asking.
