Purpose?
For forty years I worked hard and for others. Gave or shared nearly all I had. Now in my late 50s I live on disability with less than $1,000 to pay medical bills and buy food for family of three. G-d either hates me or needs a good laugh. The poor in USA is worse under Obama then ever.
G-d turned his back so why believe?

I used to feel like that, I denied myself so that others could enjoy life.
My wrong understanding of God led me to believe that God wanted only to humiliate me.
It's wise to come back to basics,
'Love your neighbour as yourself'

If I could I would hug you. Just to remind you that you're not alone. But I'm here in Jerusalem and you're there. So what can you do? Judaism has always taught us that poverty and disability is in the attitude. That probably doesn't make you feel any better but it gives a little wiggle room. Find something or someone to invest your love in. Rich or poor, abled or disabled there's something or someone out there who you can love, who needs what you have that no one else has to offer. I'll be praying for you Reply

G-d has not turned His back on you. Please look at your situation from a different perspective: In our sufferings- no matter how severe, if we can still praise G-d for who He is, then what you are doing is storing up treasures for yourself in Heaven. G-d has given you this "gift" of suffering because He is using you to help someone in similar situations. He has chosen you for this purpose. Please do not waste your pain. If people see how much you are suffering, and that you still trust and praise the living, sovereign G-d, then, they may be converted. As I said, you are storing up GREAT treasures in heaven. Reply

Purpose? Somethings we do how know what our purpose for life is and may not understand we have purpose and meaning. In these times of uncertainty going from pillar to post in life looking for our meaning or purpose in our lives that we seem to overlook what is right in from of us. Everyone has been given gifts from G-D and no one has been left out. Look to the things you do the best and the things that interest you. It one place to start looking and another good place is in prayer before G-D. G-D is our center and our focus in HIM all the "t's" are crossed and all the and the i's are dotted. If you need help unwinding then see a Rabbi for counseling. Reply

Be in The Moment This makes me think: If Moses had been in a hurry to get to wherever He was going that day, he might have not noticed the Egyptian beating whom he would learn was his own kinsman, flesh and blood. In that moment, Moses rescued this Son of the Covenant from this violent attack, and G-d revealed to Moses that he too was a Son of the people of Abraham. Can one imagine a greater thing being yielded than in that moment? Reply
Right now humanity stands ar the lowest point of the soul's descent.
It has lost the light of connection between us. The sensation of separateness and individualism is operating at the highest notch of our egoistic nature.
Right now is the time to recognize our situation. It is time for the correction process. This is the purpose of our life.
It's time to follow the inner work revealed in the Torah. This spiritual work is the meaning of our life. Our reward is the sublime sensation of life in oneness.
