Communication technologies have provided us a metaphor to comprehend how One Being can perceive all things in a single instance.
It makes you wonder how previous generations could possibly have understood such things.

I believe G-d uses technology to link people all over the world for the purpose of linking our words; words being the power that began it all and ends it all. Words of Truth have power, even amongst the garbage. Not everyone has the words of Truth but in this generation, we can access those that do, through technology.

re The Internet The Rebbe simply stated that communication technologies provide us a metaphor to better comprehend G-d's omniscience and omnipresence. At the same time he was opposed to possessing a television, principally due to the content it spews into the home. Reply
Let There Be Light,,,,,and there was light.
It's astonishing to me, how man takes credit for every advancement of technology in the world. G-d spoke everything that is into existence. Most importantly, he created man and gave him knowledge.
Laser: which is an acronym for light, was already spoken into existence at the creation of the world,
Camera: A optical instrument used today, yet G-d spoke to prophets to give clear pictures of the way things are, telling us revealing stories. A camera's image today can be very deceptive and untrustworthy.
Loud Speaker: Has a people ever heard, as you did, a G-d speaking out of the middle of the fire and lived to tell about it?
Magnetic Field: is a mathematical description of the magnetic influence of electrical currents, widely used in communication devices, health care, media, meteorologists, supercomputers, and transportation. Ahh, but there was a Miracle at the "Red Sea".
G-d told Moses to hold his staff high and to stretch out his hand out over the sea. "Split the Sea!

One Being - a Single Instance Won't it be this way in the heavens when Messiah returns? How could it be any other way? Everyone will see Him at once. Reply
Scientific Revolution
Nu, we understand it now? :-)
I say this with humor, but the fact is that about the time one thinks one has learned a new technology, it is "obsolete" and has advanced to an even higher level that requires even more study and learning.
We may have a bigger hint, but total comprehension still eludes us.

The Internet
It is foolish to use the communications technologies/internet as an example. It shows a lack of understanding of communications technologies. Most of what you find on the Internet or smartphones is of dubious origin, loshon harah, porn, and can easily lead to illusion and perversion of the truth. Communications technologies have leads observant youth to abrogate the Sabbath laws (see half Shabbos). Today the internet and communications is a tool for marketers to sell you more based on your private information not a source of knowledge. It takes you away from reality. The previous generations understood (Devarim 30:12-13) "It [Torah] is not in heaven...it is not ... No, the thing is very near to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart for you! That is how you perceive the truth.
If you want a real example use Big Data and The Internet of Things as a good model for perceiving all things.

The difference between G-d and mankind communication technology is that God is perfect, He is truth, He tells the truth, He knows all, sees all, is everywhere, does not manipulate, does not lie, does not deceive, cannot be bribed, He does not cause sin, He does not need to be upgraded, He does not charge for access, He cannot be hacked to get your information, He does not need to institute the scientific method to come up with a plausible scientific answer based on a small percentage of a population that tags a whole people group to be tested by others to get academic approval that is not inclusive of everyone. He does not need to be renewed or surged in case of an electrical failure, you cannot steal Him, or get cut off if you don't pay your bill, He already knows your ending before your beginning without asking you or others. He is available 24/7 to the poor to the wealthy, to the unborn to the elderly, to men to women, and He is not bias.
G-d never fails! He is always right! G-d.
You are so right! The Rebbe was very wise, but he was human and had blind spots. Technology is nothing, really. We make such a big deal over it because we did it, but actually it is child's play. Electric technology has stolen the wonder that is life, it has made us slaves to our machines. We have become progressively fatter, sicker and dumber because we think its so great to create machines to do our work for us. Calling technology a "way to know G-d" is simpleminded. G-d gave us Torah to know Him, He sent prophets to explain Him. People in the past understood Him better than we can because they didn't have electronics to distract them.
