Any reason we may suppose for G‑d’s will could not be the ultimate reason. The finite mind cannot begin to fathom an infinite wisdom—never mind that which brought forth wisdom from the void.
As a wise man once said, the ultimate knowledge is that we do not know.
Yes, we do not know. Everything else is commentary based upon belief, which is based in turn upon a need to assuage our basic anxiety or fear over our lack of knowledge and control. Belief is not truth, although it may become an approximation for truth in as much as we tend to shape our perceptions to our beliefs. Religion is simply the codification of our beliefs, mere dream stuff made to look substantial. I think only when we face the reality of our death, the complete cessation of our beingness, can we begin to appreciate the subtle truths of what it means to be human and then CHOOSE to live according to our values, to shape our dream in harmony with WHAT IS. Anything less is as good as nothing, and any time someone tells us what to believe it is simply a projection of their own fear. Reply

G-d's Reason
Dear Rabbi Freeman:
In a previous discussion I believe that we pondered on the idea that all things are connected. Now with that in mind consider that since G-d has created everything, has a reason for everything he created and what that creation does, knows everything, and yet he also saw fit to give each of us free will that leads me to the belief that there are infinite variables going on at any moment in time and space. I thank G-d that he only lets us in on what we need to know for the here and now, and that we progress only at the speed at which we can handle. Most of us can't decide what to order at a restaurant, let alone even try to fathom the wisdom of G-d, and man in the raging, changing, fluid river of time.

You're saying that Gd gives us commands and wisdom which are meaningless to us?
That doesn't sound like a good idea.

Man, is born of woman, whether as male or female. We are born, grow, mature, learn, act, and speak throughout our lives. Growing old, degeneration, and disintigrative processess ensue....until the "Divine" Fated moment....We live no More!
Birth is a supreme mystery, marvel and miracle. Life is a process of adaptation and survival seeking adequate compensation, rewards and benefits.
DEATH is the ONLY irrefutable, incontestable, and "Ultimate Truth" that we know with certitude.

Entering into Truth I was very ill and passed from this life many times within a two year period. I was asked if I saw G-d. I stated that you never see G-d, but only know Him from what He says and does. So you can know G-d from the past writings and what He is doing today. This is all the wisdom, understanding and wonder that you need. If you were to Know G-d fully then He would not be G-d. Be of great Joy that He knows and cares for you now.
