Success, in the higher scheme of things, is when a soul that has alienated herself returns.
It is the ultimate demonstration of her resilience and her depth: No matter how distant she may travel, in the end she can never tear herself away.
For the soul and her Beloved are one.
I would like to be constructive but I have a hard time with it. If there is a forum to discuss doubt please let me know. I do not believe that there is something like a soul. I would like to be convinced otherwise but I cannot find anyone in Jewish society who wants to undertake this project. Reply
Divine Connection
Through time we became distant from G_d.
That distance is a measure of how remote our qualities became from G-dliness.
- until we reached a point of total opposite behaviour to Him!
We are egoists who prefer individualism to the depth of repulsion of others, their differences and their opinions.
G_d is an altruist. He wants to shower us with His abundance as a unified system.
He left a spark of Himself within our hearts. He awakens each group in it's designated time to reconnect with Him.
The 20th Century Rabbis, the Rebbe, Jehuda Ashlag, and others foresaw that by the end of the 20th C the first group's spark will awaken and are obligated to initiate the return process.
This divine spark is our resilience and connection through the suffering and time that will draw us back to resemble Him in a unified system of all humanity.

A beautiful time I enjoy sharing. Very beautiful the illustrations in the Daily Dose page. After the reading of " For the soul and her Beloved are one" my mind recalled the Song of Songs; then, reading the second verse "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: now, the comforting Rashi “If only King Solomon (G-d, as Rashi explains in the first verse) would kiss me with the kisses of his mouth as of old”. Isn't it wonderful, after all this digging up my prize came up: I felt truly loved, as a child in G-d's hands. Thank you Daily Dose for triggering all this, also thanks to be given to Rashi, of blessed memory, whose words have always been, for my Divine Soul, of unsurpassable value. Reply
Soul's Destiny
The soul's destiny is to return 'home':
To reach home, the soul needs to change it's direction from it's
'Earth' bearings - place where it is in ego, individual mode
to it's
'Spiritual' bearings - place where it thrives in bringing contentment to others and it's Creator.

Thank you, Rabbi Schneerson!This speaks to my heart & soul, which has traveled far away and now is returned.
I remember several decades ago having a conversation with a co-worker about how once you've experienced & know His higher reality, you can never pretend you haven't. There's no way to "not see" once you have. It will always be there, a seed waiting for you to nurture it again, no matter how long you neglect it.
BTW, I appreciate you using the feminine form. Even after a lifetime of reading "him" and automatically doing the "translation," this reached me so much more & brought forth the biggest smile.

The soul is no way feminine and nor for that matter can we simply treat G-d as being a father. The implication of this gender-making is not kosher.
