What if what you believe in borders the ambiguity of halacha with its myriad interpretations and you trust in yourself more than other humans who insist that they know Gds will ? Does Gd trust the humans who engage in determining halacha more than me? Reply

Conscientious Hi Esther. What I meant by conscientious is that this person has to take your values seriously, and understand them well. Sometimes a counsellor may be well meaning, but does not understand how vital something may be to your way of life--like a proper Jewish education for your children, or not working on Shabbat and Yom Tov. Thank You For All You Do As a fellow devout Jew (the son of a convert but again, emphasis on devout, having been Bar Mitzvahed, active in Jewish causes, marrying Jewish and keeping a Jewish home, and striving every day to study torah and read the tehillim) I have learned and continue to learn more from my Chabad brethren these past 3 years than I have in my entire 12 years in conservative Hebrew school. Especially in these trying times, these messages have given me much strength and remind me the value of faith. Keep doing what you're doing. Regardless of whatever "branch" of Judaism we're in, we're all Jews and we all must have faith in Hashem. Thank you!!
